Upbeat vol. 2 – The Social Innovation Forum was held on December 4th and 5th, 2018 in Podgorica. During this two-day event, we talked about innovation in community, business and technology, as well as blockchain. The event brought together practitioners and experts in the field of innovation, from the region and Europe, which gave us the opportunity to work together to create recommendations for the region in the upcoming period.
Upbeat vol. 1, held on December 7th, 2017 enabled the networking of creators, professionals, thinkers with interests in different fields that respond to community challenges by creating concrete solutions. Last year’s event brought together over 100 participants, 15 lecturers from several European countries exploring opportunities and perspectives of the community through the following topics and workshops:
- Enhancing the environment for creating social innovations based on the needs of the society;
- Transformation of social potentials into business;
- Coworking community and crowdfunding;
Last year’s Forum provided the opportunity, first of all to young people, for sharing experiences from those who created some sort of social innovation or started their own social enterprise. This event also served to provide mutual consultation and create a space for cooperation between organizations and practitioners of social innovation.
